Maritza Marengo is a talented fashion designer, who started to develop this talent at the age of nine. Day by day as her skills increased, she was motivated to show her family and friends her fashion designs. Maritza completed two sketches books with her creative clothing designs before the age of ten.

Maritza's desire to become a gifted fashion designer was evident when she took sewing classes while in intermediate school. In these classes, advancement became manifest by her eagerness to learn. On her fifteen birthday, her mother bought her an antique sewing machine. With this gift she created her first pieces of clothing for her mother.
Maritza Marengo continued her education at Luis Munoz Rivera vocational high school in Utuado Puerto Rico, where she studied industrial sewing for three years. She started her college career in Fashion at the Liceo de Arte y Tecnologia, where she graduated with perfect attendance and honors.

After graduating from college, Maritza Marengo immediately pursued her passion for fashion design. She began working as a tailor at the prestigious Lindissima Shops in San Juan, Puerto Rico. While working in this boutique she made alterations for artist, singers, TV reporters, government officials and general public. A few years later she took an offer to work for Viana's, a prestigious bridal boutique. There she continue her career as a tailor altering bridal gowns, designing and decorating veils.

Maritza's desire to learn more in the fashion field is insatiable. When she moved to New York she continued to increase her abilities and skills in fashion at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT). While at FIT Maritza Marengo created a garment inspired by Josephine Baker. Her unique style, made her design to be selected by the administration of the college to be displayed in the exhibition room at FIT. Because of Maritza's expertise and attention to detail, she graduated with honors from the FIT.
Her passion of creating innovative designs inspired Maritza Marengo launch her collection a collection designed for the sophisticated modern woman.
